10 ounce Canadian Maple Leaf
In 1998 the Royal Canadian Mint issued a 10oz version of the Silver Maple Leaf and was produced to mark the 10th anniverary of the Silver Maple bullion coin. The 10 ounce Maple had a $50 face value, this coin is the largest legal tender Canadian coin ever produced and is accompanied by a sterling silver plaque of authenticity. Weighing 311.04 grams with a diameter of 65mm and a thickness of 11mm, the coin has a lettered edge which reads (10th Anniversary 10e Anniversarie). A total of 13,533 of these 10oz silver bullion coins where produced.
