Struck by the mint in 2009 for the international coin program The Fabulous 12 & 15 Silver Crown collection which also includes such notables as the silver Canadian Maple Leaf and the American Eagle, only 4,000 F12 and 5,000 F15 of these silver proof coins, the coin design first appeared in 2007 as a gold version 1oz coin which sold out very quickly. There is also a 1/20 oz silver proof version of this iconic coin released with only 5,000 coins minted.
