Famous Australian Battles Series 2011-Present

 

This series of .999 one ounce Silver Proof Coins and depict famous battles in Australia's history, this first release in this outstanding series honours the Australian diggers of the First World War,  the Gallipoli or Dardanelles Campaign took place in the Ottoman Empire between April 1915 and January 1916. The second coin in the series honours the men who fought at the Tobruk, North Africa during the Western Desert Campaign of the Second World War. The next forthcoming releases are Kokoda, Kapyong, Long Tan.

Battle of Gallipoli 1915

The Perth Mints Battle of Gallipoli, portrays an image of a Australian soldier or digger. Released in 2011 and the first in this series no more than 5,000 of these coins have been minted.

Battle of Tobruk 1941

The Perth Mints Battle of Tobruk, the design depicts an Australian soldier or rat of tobruk. Released in 2011 and the second in the series no more than 5,000 of these coins have been minted.

Battle of Kapkong 1951

The Perth Mints Battle of Kapkong, the design depict an Australian soldier in Korea. Released in 2012 and the third in the series no more than 5,000 of these coins have been minted.
